That’s great, it starts in the E.R. Nina Sharp, a gunshot
wound, and a torn bionic arm. Back at the FBI, Charlie
shows surveillance feed of Nina being shot by a man
wearing bandages. Turn it up a little bit. Voice match.
Oh no! David Robert Jones’ face appears on the monitor.
Don’t know who he’s working for, but could it be for
William Bell? Then we get a call: Nina’s out of surgery.
Walter Bishop’s missing so they make a bunch of calls.
Can they track him down? Walter’s at a tombstone. The
Observer’s watching him. Look at Nina’s arm, it’s fine
— thanks to… (uh oh) …med techs from Massive Dynamic.
Then Olivia visits Nina, who says Bell’s not the enemy.
Jones used to work for Bell, but Bell sort of snubbed him,
so he stole a power cell from Nina’s right arm — tried to
cross into another reality, but he failed and split a truck in
half.
It’s from an alternate world, and he knows it.
It’s from an alternate world, and he knows it.
It’s from an alternate world, and he knows it.
It blows my mind.
Walter at a beach house with the Observer. Walter knows
he needs to find something, but he can’t remember. Peter
arrives and he starts to reminisce: whale-shaped pancakes
— the memory did the trick. Walter finds an old box with an
old coin on top, similar to the one the Observer gave him.
The device inside the box is a patch for a soft spot between
alternate realities. David Robert Jones tried to cross into
another reality, but he failed and split a soccer player in
half.
Peter uses the device at Reiden Lake.
Peter uses the device at Reiden Lake.
Peter uses the device at Reiden Lake.
(Stops Jones from crossing over.)
Splits Jones in half. Splits Jones in half.
The FBI can’t investigate William Bell.
(Obama, was it your decision?)
The FBI can’t investigate William Bell.
(Joe Biden, was it your decision?)
The FBI can’t investigate William Bell.
(Pentagon, was it your decision?)
Orders from the top.
Walter Bishop cries, and he places the coin on a tombstone
that says:
——————
PETER BISHOP
——————
Meanwhile, Olivia is in Manhattan. Thanks to Nina Sharp,
she meets William Bell; then she realizes she’s in a World
Trade Center tower… right? Right.
It’s an alternate world, and she knows it.
It’s an alternate world, and she knows it.
It’s an alternate world, and she knows it.
(Olivia finally meets William Bell.)
It blows her mind.
It’s the end of the season as we know it.
It’s the end of the season as we know it.
It’s the end of the season as we know it.
(Season 1 has come to an end.)
It blows my mind.

It blows my mind.

- Interesting that Walter sometimes sleep at the marine biology lab. I wonder what’s up with him and Mrs. Ericson.
- Nina Sharp looks so happy to see Broyles. And Broyles always freak people out, why does he appeared suddenly out of nowhere.
- Oh really? You don’t know where is Bell, Nina?
- And then Nina Sharp said she will arrange a meeting between her and Bell. Hmm.. It is also strange that Nina look at Broyles first before she look at Olivia. What does Broyles know?
- Is the energy cell part of Bishop’s gadget? I wonder if Nina actually know the purpose of it, especially she know that Jones is after Bell who is in the alter-universe. Could Nina also know about the surgery of Walter?
- The observer got the coin from the alter-universe. How?
- Olivia and Charlie asked all the pertinent questions, except for one important thing - where is the driver? Does the alternate universe successfully made an automatic car?
- Happy family picture.
- At last, you blurted it out, Nina Sharp!
- It’s funny that this episode has two scenes with simultaneous phone calls.
- Whale-shaped pancake!
- Great subtle acting of Walter, hiding the coin in his pocket!
- Very very nice lighting of Walter and Peter’s conversation. Their faces are split into half, a subtle way of writers making a point of two universes.
- I would love to know what happened in Becca’s meadow and who was in-charge in the investigation.
- Was Reiden Lake the spot where Walter opened the door between the universes and snatched Peter?
- Peter1.0 is a coin collector while Peter2.0 does the coin trick.
- Sunglasses of Jones dropped. Doesn’t that reminded you of the eyeglasses in Jacksonville?
- Jones was sliced in half!
- Who’s on the government protecting William Bell?
- Manhattan… or Manhatan seems to be a softspot.
- Welcome to the alternate universe!
Walter Bishop
Season 1 Episode 19: Fringe Mystery
Again, I’m quite positive that we won’t get an answer to this question, but I still want to throw this in.
What is the nature of the “deja vu” moment? Did Olivia actually “went” to the alternate universe? Was this just a vision? If Olivia physically in the alternate universe, did she “disappear” in our world? And if she is physically in the alternate universe, what happened to the alternate Olivia? Was there a disastrous effect when Olivia interacted with the alternate universe Broyles and Charlie?

Couldn’t help but ignite it
Didn’t know how to fight it

The defective ‘y’ key
Claims lost ZFT chapter
Shows Bell is ethical

Made from Walter’s own equipment
To take a high-res image of
Nancy’s steamed-up window
The window disk breaks but that’s OK

He calibrates the audio
Then they hear Nancy screaming
And a nice jar breaking
Then they hear a phone dialing
Then Isaac Winters says
“I have her, see you there…”
He was talking to Harris
What else can I say?
